Although metal roofs have been a popular choice for commercial, industrial and agricultural roofs for half a century, all eventually undergo corrosion and suffer effects of thousands of cycles of thermal expansion and contraction. This results, inevitably, in leaks. And metal roofs offer virtually no insulating qualities.

RTC offers three different topcoats to suit specific needs.

PERMAX®-108/115 acrylic elastomer, economical and very durable when applied with rock granules. PERMAX®- 700/800 polyurea elastomer which provides exceptional toughness with or without added granules PERMAX®-2000 silicone elastomer especially effective in areas of exceptionally intense UV such as southwestern desert areas.

1. Monolithic and Self-Flashing

The PERMAX® System offers a seamless, one-piece roof which seals flashings and protrusions. Moisture is sealed out to protect the metal from corrosion.

2. Structural

PERMAX® add rigidity and strength to the roof while adding very little weight. Low areas can be filled with polyurethane.

3. Lightweight

PERMAX® won't stress an old roof or structure. Weight of a PERMAX® roof is approximately 100 pounds per 100 square feet - generally not structurally significant.

4. PERMAX® Insulates

With an R factor of about 10, savings in energy costs could pay for a PERMAX® roof in very few years. The polyurethane insulation and its reflective elastomeric topcoat not only help maintain desired internal temperatures, but reduce temperature-induced building movement which contributes to wear at joints and subsequent corrosion in metal roofs.

5. Controls Condensation

Another advantage - PERMAX® does away with the condensation that typically forms on the interior surface of metal roofs - especially in agricultural applications.

6. Waterproofs Gutters

Interior gutters are a major cause of leaks in metal roofing. A PERMAX® System waterproofs both the gutter and the transition.

7. UL Approved

The PERMAX® System is listed by Underwriters' Laboratory (UL) under UL 790, UL 1256, and Factory Mutual research Corporation & ICBO.
